I am a self-taught fiber artist who seeks to convey a world of texture and depth in a two-dimensional medium. The characteristics of textiles, thread, pigment, and wax allow me to completely express myself. My inspirations are the vistas near my home as well as my travel experiences. In addition to being part of Local Cloth, a fiber collective and gallery in Asheville NC, I have exhibited in a number of museums and galleries through Studio Art Quilt Associates, including the Mansion at Strathmore in Rockville MD, the Council for the Arts in Chambersburg PA, San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, the Carnegie Arts Center, the California Heritage Museum, and other venues.
